ReplyDeleteLove the fact that I have up to date news and reviews on your site. Also love the fact that you go through the effort to have a graphic for each post. Just reading plain text like I do on some sites just makes me sad... I don't need much in the way of graphics just something to look at as i'm reading!
Also have been dying to try Rainbow Moon... just never pulled the trigger... Have Proteus, Lone Survivor and Guacamelee though. *damn now I sorta want to go back and re-play some guacamelee*

ReplyDeleteI enjoy your in-depth reviews that split the ratings into sub categories. It makes it a easier to see if I'll like the game or not, most reviews for the vita are short and very opinionated so it's good to see someone doing a good job with it. Keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteI recently discovered this site (because i recently bought a PS VITA) and i love both of them :D I was skeptical about the vita community but i'm impressed by the number of fans, this site is light, contains all the vita's gossip and i love it ! :D Thanx to you TheAuburnMan and thanks to all the community of this website for helping each other, keep up the good work i'm sure the vita will get more and more attention now the ps4 is released. I am a future writer looking to get exposed and want the experience to play more PSVita games. Honestly not a lot of credit id given to those authors who write articles to publish online when it is read by many people with bad comments. I like to take this chance to openly say thank you TheAuburnMan and others who are online helping the PSVita remain relevant. A lot of sites mention the device and how bad it is but do not take the chance to actually look on the bright side of things. TheAuburnMan, Thank you for a good job well done.

DeleteI am a newcomer to your site and must say I am very impressed. I like the fact that your reviews appeal to us true gamers. There are some games that are coming to vita that i didnt know of until i saw them on the site. I have Lone Survivor which is great but currently am being sucked into Terraria. I have had my vita since launch and love it and now i have a new vita site to love as well. Thank you TheAuburnMan.

I will tell you my story: I had a wonderful life, money, girls and limousines. until I met a girl named Vita. My previous girlfriend dumped me, threw me out of the house, i lost my wallet... I had to live under the bridge... only with my lovely Vita.
One day my life changed! No, I did not win on the lottery and have not found a girl (I was ugly and poor) but... but I found something more valuable... (sorry, I have tears in my eyes when I write about it...) This discovery has breathed in me the spirit!
This thing was really great, gave me a renewed desire to live! and saw what in life is important...
I also met someone who gave me an example of how to live! He filled me with hope, carrying the good news, he showed the way to the future, HE showed me RACE TO THE SUN and more and more... yes, it was you TheAuburnMan. U r my Master.
I thank you also for your contribution to this site, it gave me something to hope for a future life.

ReplyDeleteFirst off, thanks for the contest :-) That's a big list of great games; I know because I own/have played most ;-) Though I suppose with our PSN handles you can check our trophies to see what we've played :-)
As for the site/social approach.
1) great proactive twitter, I found you because you followed me. Checked your profile and followed back and came to the website because I love vita lovers :-)
2) On the site, the side widgets are great ideas. Throw in the links to the PS blog post about the PS+ offerings and store update and they'd be perfect since those are the two pieces of info I want from PS every week and I sometimes don't find it right away.
3) Reviews: 10/10 for guacamelee proves you're awesome! Reviews are a great read and really break things down well into their components. Look forward to more!
4) Aesthetics: Design is clean, efficient, and isn't overly busy like most/many game sites out there. I might suggest one more top button in addition to "home" and "contact us" like "categories" where you can have "reviews" and "news" broken down, but that's just icing on the cake, not critical.
5) News: I'm really impressed with the announcements you catch and report on. I'm a big fan of most Japanese imports, so hearing what I can expect on my vita soon is fantastic.
Went a little overboard there, but I'm really impressed! Cheers!
(P.S. Auburn color? or Auburn University? Spent some time at the University a few years back, great campus :-) )

DeleteHey Vita Boys, I love the layout of the site. Its awesome to see a site that has so much information on a game system that a lot of people say "has no games" which is completely wrong. I recently got guacamelee, but right before I started playing it my buddy told me to play danganrompa, ive been stuck in an amazing situation with that game. This system has 2 of my all-time favorite games (persona 4 golden and danganrompa) and I haven't played too many games on it yet since ive only had it since thanksgiving! Most of the time I acquire my information on n4g.com, but the things i like better on this site are that there are no annoying ads on this site and that its focused only on vita games. I prefer the colorful background of n4g more, white is a little dull, but I can understand that people prefer a white background because otherwise they get distracted and this looks more organised and clear. I can't really say much about the quality of your articles because i havent read one besides this one. But I amire it that you made your own site, that way it feels more personal and if I like te articles then I will stick to this site.

It keeps me up to date on my brand new vita that i bought last month, and when i should look forward for the weekly Tuesday psn updates and what to expect in the next couple of days this is the true website to be on if your a vita lover (:. p.s this will be one of my daily sites to come too.

I know you're just starting your website but I would love to see more content in the future and would definitely suggest you keep the same simple yet organized layout. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but I love the Vita so much that I like to follow as many Vita-related sites as I can. But when I actually saw your tweets, I was taken by surprise how you not only posted things before I saw them on other sites, but how you also posted things I still haven't seen on other sites. And it's not like it was unsubstantiated rumors or speculation, but legitimate exclusive info!
So consider me impressed, and consider me a fan as well. Whether I win anything or not (I do have all of the games you mentioned by name, but I was hoping one of the 'many more' might be something I don't have), I plan on sticking around because this site is a great source for Vita news and info. Any site that promotes the greatest handheld gaming system ever made definitely deserves support in my book. And I'll be adding you on PSN as well, because us Vita gamers have to stick together! I like your simple design and easy to find page. Not many sites cater to just 100% vita news or advertise the vita part of there site. You guys also have alot of news and vita games dates most other sites dont have (props on that).
